A Hero to Be...That's Me!
This interactive workshop takes our youngest leaders through the four steps of becoming a hero, and not being a bystander. Led by Brenda the Builder, a retired Flint teacher, kids love the singing and dancing portions of the lessons.
GEARup2LEAD is currently transitioning this currciulum to a digital delivery system for teachers.

GEARup2LEAD has licensed two modules from the Heroic Imagination Project (Bystander Effect and Growth Mindset).
The Bystander Effect Training has been used to educate high school and college studnets on the science behind bystander behavior, why we do not take action when we should, and how to battle bystander behavior to be heroic.

This ten lesson module is designed for teachers to use at the beginning of the year to create a true heroic culture within the classroom and throughout the school community.
Learning lessons from Sam Berns, a heroic leader who's TED talk has reached over 14 million viewers, teaches our young leaders that no matter what your circumstances, you can take action and better yourself and others!
